Our Miscanthus Harvest is now in full swing!! It is a real Team effort to produce our ethos smart bedding!
Miscanthus is harvested at a “weird” time of year compared to other crops: it is harvested in late winter! The harvest date has a big impact on the moisture content within the stems, we want them as dry as possible! Miscanthus leaves maintain moisture longer than the stems, but due to the climate in the UK, most leaves have dropped by late winter/early spring, meaning that this is the perfect time to harvest!
We have had a plentiful crop so far and have lots of it chipped and ready to be baled for you ethos horse bedding users!! There is certainly no bedding shortage here!
