We look forward to being part of Mila’s journey this year and can’t wait to see what she achieves!” My name is Mila Wagner and I’m 10 years old and I live and breathe my best friend and super star pony Oscar. Oscar and I will have been together for 2 years this March, I love him to bits and we do everything together from hanging out at home to regularly going out competing. Riding is life to me as is everything that goes with it! I am 100% dedicated to my equestrian life and horse mad, even in the pouring rain and mud! I am very lucky to have such a supportive family, who make everything possible. Oscar and I regularly compete 70-90cm SJ and Arena Eventing, unaffiliated and affiliated with the BRC and NSEA. We have taken part in many ODE’s and unaffiliated BE80, almost always being the smallest combination out on the course which brings a lot of attention. Oscar is only 12.1 but he really thinks he’s a horse. We are active Pony Club members and qualified this year, in all 3 disciplines, for Pony Club regional championships at Eland lodge, individually for dressage and SJ, and in a team for Eventing. We were placed at champs for dressage and Eventing individually as well as with the team for the Eventing. It was amazing and a dream come true but I really need to learn to plait better! We also regularly compete individually with NSEA for my school SJ and Arena Eventing, however, this month will be the first time we have been able to form an actual team, I’m so excited about this! I have spina bifida, and anaesthetic corneas (no feeling on my eyes), but despite this I work very hard and I don’t let it hold me back.
