My name is Morwenna Foster. I’m 36 and live in beautiful Cornwall. I have been riding since I was tiny and did all the usual pony club activities as a child. I started getting an interest in eventing in my teens and joined the local riding club.
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis which is a genetic condition. Unfortunately although my health was pretty good for most of my life, by my twenties, repeated chest infection and damage to my lungs caused me to require oxygen and I was very poorly. The only option I had was to be listed for a lung transplant. Luckily I received one after for months.
Since then I got back into riding. I achieved my dream of riding at BE. I bought a young horse called Maisie and we managed to qualify for the grassroots championships at Badminton in 2018. It was the most Amazing experience. I then went on to compete at novice level and my first international 2* in 2019 on a fabulous horse I had on loan for the year.
I have had to deal with more health issues in the last 12 months including being diagnosed with kidney and heart failure. But I still have Maisie, plus another young horse, Kitty, to bring on and I hope to be well enough to compete again this season. I have been using Ethos Smart bedding for over six months now and it is by for the best bedding I have some across. So easy to manage and importantly for me isn’t dusty and smells amazing. I’m so delighted to be part of the ambassador team and look forward to the year ahead!
